Recently I have grown increasingly interested in street art. As a tattoo artist, I feel that it is hard to break free of a medium once you've taken so much time to progress at it, and make it a career. I have opened my eyes to a whole new horizon when it comes to new, and old mediums of art. I also have an incredible hatred for the lack of artist features of the city I live in. I dread going into town to be subjected to strip plaza after strip plaza, endless franchises exploiting a growing commuting town. So I have decided to make an attempt at street art here. Targeting specific areas of town left untouched. Such as these huge conglomerates. Here is a stencil idea I have. That is of course, Dumbo:). I am going to post this around town.

I find that, when under pressure, I tend to develop an abrupt and discomforting block in creativity. I have all this built up motivation to be creative, when in a comfortable setting, but when put on the spot, I freeze. Even when naming this blog, I found myself hitting a wall. I am hoping that creating a blog, and posting for anyone to see will allow me to feel more comfortable in these situations.
